USG 3555 Wheat Variety Description

U. S. Protected Variety

USG 3555 was released by UniSouth Genetics, Inc.  It is an early heading,  soft red winter wheat with awnletted heads and short height.  Field ratings show good winter hardiness, excellent standability, and emergence.  USG 3555 is resistant to Biotype E Hessian Fly.  It has the same maturity as USG 3209.  It should be planted later to avoid Hessian Fly.  It has excellent resistance to stripe rust, stem rust, barley yellow dwarf virus, and powdery mildew.
