MFS-561 Soybean Variety Description
MFS-561 is a high yielding, small seeded variety developed by Virginia Tech. It is a food grade soybean variety for the manufacture of natto and soybean sprouts. It is superior in yield, maturity, and natto quality traits to MFS-591. It has white flowers, gray pubescence, tan pods, yellow seed coat, and light buff hila. Leaflet shape is lanceovate. Plants have determinate growth habit. MFS-562 has great lodging resistance. It is susceptible to soybean cyst nemotode.
