MAS #2 Wheat Variety Description
MAS #2 is a medium maturing wheat variety with with smooth head and tall height. It is the tallest in the Mid-Atlantic Region. It has excellent winter hardiness and has a moderate resistance to stem rust and stripe rust. It has good resistance to powdery mildew, scab, and barley yellow dwarf virus. It has good resistance to leaf rust, Septoria glume blotch, soil born mosaic virus, and has excellent resistance to Septoria leaf blotch. MAS #2 is excellent for straw production. Yield was excellent in the 2013 Penn State Trial at 78.3 bu/acre.
MAS #6 Wheat Variety Description
MAS #6 is a medium/early maturity wheat variety with medium/short height and awned head. It has excellent yield potential, very good standability, and above average head scab tolerance. It placed 1st in 2014 Maryland State Wheat Trial with 128.2 bu/acre and 2nd place in the 2013 Winters Ag Wheat Trial in Pennsylvania with 107 bu/acre.
MAS # 7 Wheat Variety Description
MAS #7 wheat is a medium maturity, medium height variety with a smooth head. It has excellent head blight, very good winter hardiness, very good standability and average test weight. It placed 1st in the 2014 Maryland State Performance Trial with 63.2 bu/acre.
MAS #10 Wheat Variety Description
MAS #10 is a medium/late maturing, medium/short wheat variety with awned heads, excellent lodging and winter hardiness. It has good resistance to leaf rust, stripe rust, powdery mildew, and Septoria leaf blotch. It has excellent resistance to Septoria glume blotch, Spindle sreak mosaic virus, and barley yellow dwarf virus. MAS #10 has very good standability. It has great yield at 90.1 bu/acre.
